Welcome to our new blog for Outreach Concern, Inc. Outreach Concern is a non-profit 501(c)(3) counseling agency created to help students and their parents eliminate the barriers that impact their performance in the classroom. We have been providing counseling and support services to public, private and parochial schools in Greater Los Angeles and Orange Counties for more than 20 years.
Outreach Concern is hands-on, face-to-face counseling of students in grades K through 12 who are experiencing social, emotional, academic and behavioral problems that impact their ability to learn and succeed in the classroom. Whatever the cause, they manifest as classroom disruptions, poor attention, low grades and even self-destructive behavior. Outreach Concern counselors work directly with these students on a confidential basis assisting them in overcoming their personal barriers to success both in and outside the classroom. We offer opportunities to collaborate with faculty and administrators and create psycho-educational workshops catered to each school’s needs, as well as process groups focusing on specific issues in different age groups.
This blog is a tribute to counselors within our network, current and past, to expose their passion, strong work ethic, and to show future candidates a more clear idea of how we operate.
